Weekend Tour Information
Please read the following information before scrolling down the page to see the pairings.
Pace of Play
Pace of Play is important to EWGA and to the golf course. Slower players that are not keeping up with their group may be asked to pick up their ball by the Group Leader. Entire Groups that are not keeping up with the group ahead of them may be asked to advance to the next hole by the Course Ranger. Reminder: USGA Rules of golf stipulate that upon reaching your ball, take no more than 40-50 seconds to play your ball. For more detailed information visit this site: http://www.usga.org/playing/rules/competitions/pace_policy.html
Signup Deadlines/Cancellations
We understand situations arise but please remember to honor your commitment to play. If you register for a Weekend Tour date, you are expected to show up and to play. We have to book our tee times early, and the courses understandably want to earn money for each tee time we book. If you have to cancel on Friday or ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT, please call the golf course. Before Friday, please contact the event coordinator - typically weekendtour@ewgacharlotte.org.
If you do not cancel and do not contact the course or the event coordinator about it, you will be expected to pay for your tee time. Do not just change your Evite response.
Please note that if you signup after the deadline, you may be placed on standby. You will be contacted via email or telephone if a spot becomes available. Otherwise, you can contact the organizer of the event or come early and be on standby.
If you have a question about the weather on the day of play, please call the golf course directly.
Suggested Level of Playing Experience
Weekend Tour is open to EWGA members of all skill levels, however, some on course experience is recommended. The format for all dates is individual stroke play. Competitive format is recommended for intermediate to advanced players. Non-competitive is recommended for players without a handicap and beginners. Please specify competitive or non-competitive when you sign up.
Please plan to arrive 30 minutes early and be ready to put your tee in the ground at your designated tee time.
